RARIK Energy Development (RED) was established in February 2008. It is a development and investment company in the field of renewable energy in Iceland and abroad.
RED is owned 100% by RARIK Ltd., Iceland State Electricity. RARIK owns several hydro power plants transmission and distribution systems both electricity and geothermal and an energy retail sale company in Iceland (Orkusalan Ltd.).
